The death toll from rain, storms and lightning strikes in Pakistan has risen to 41

 Officials in Pakistan announced that the death toll from torrential rains, storms, and lightning bolts across the country over the past days had risen to 41.

 

The National Disaster Management Authority warned in Pakistan – according to “Channel News Asia” In its English language bulletin, there is a possibility of landslides and floods due to expectations of more rain in the coming days.

 

The “Punjab” province witnessed The largest number of victims fell, as 21 people were killed due to lightning strikes between last Friday and Sunday.

 

As for the “Balochistan” province, The authorities issued orders to close schools for two days due to heavy rainwater, which led to a delay in the return of students after the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had issued in Earlier, he ordered the authorities to provide relief aid in areas that received heavy rainfall. He also expressed his concern about the damage caused by the rain and his sadness over the casualties.
