The Head of State and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia discuss during a phone call developments in the region
Abu Dhabi, April 17 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him” – discussed – during a phone call – with his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sisterly Saudi Arabia… brotherly relations and paths of cooperation and joint work in various fields to achieve the mutual interests of the two countries… in addition to all regional and international issues of common interest.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman reviewed the developments of the situation in the Middle East region and the seriousness of its repercussions on security and stability in the region, stressing the need for all parties to exercise the utmost levels of self-restraint and spare the region and its peoples the dangers of war and its dire consequences.
The call also discussed the efforts made to enhance the response to the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, stressing in this context the importance of intensifying efforts and endeavors for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, providing full protection to civilians in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law, and ensuring the flow of adequate humanitarian relief aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip in a timely manner. Their Highnesses stressed the need for the international community to take action to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the region and spare it the consequences of new crises, in addition to working to find a political horizon for a just, comprehensive and lasting peace based on the “two-state solution” that guarantees regional stability and security.
