The Arab Tourism Organization participates in the 56th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Arab Action

The Arab Tourism Organization is participating in the meetings of the 56th session of the Supreme Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, headed by the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, which will be held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo during the period from 22-24 of this month, with the participation of heads and general directors of more than 35 organizations. A specialized Arab university under the umbrella of the joint Arab action system at the League of Arab States 

 

He explained  President of the Arab Tourism Organization, Dr. Bandar bin Fahd Al Fuhaid  In a statement, he said that the meeting will discuss many topics related to Arab food security, climate change, the Arab digital economy, and cybersecurity, in addition to topics related to the activities of Arab organizations and unions and the role required of them in the next stage.

 

Al Fuhaid said that the meetings of the Supreme Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action come within the framework of the directives of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, to follow up on the efforts of joint Arab action institutions in light of the developments and developments that the Arab region is going through, which have imposed a new reality and major challenges that require… All organizations interact with them and develop their programs and goals to keep pace with them in order to advance the Arab reality, which also calls for more cooperation and synergy between those organizations and both the public and private sectors.

 

He explained that the organization During the meeting, a report will be presented that includes the most important programs implemented by the Arab Tourism Organization throughout the Arab world, especially its initiative that it launched under the title of comprehensiveness of contemporary tourist destinations and submitted to the work of the upcoming Arab Summit, which aims to use modern technologies to plan modern tourist destinations and smart cities built on quality foundations and standards and how to benefit from them. Among these destinations is to achieve competitiveness with developed countries in tourism, in addition to maximizing the results resulting from the integration of technology and smart planning for cities in general and tourist destinations in particular, to achieve sustainability to be contemporary tourist destinations through good planning and development initiatives to improve the infrastructure of tourist destinations, due to the effects that the tourism sector represents. Positive growth and increase in the national income of the Arab countries in general and local communities in particular. From this standpoint, the Arab Tourism Organization calls on all Arab countries to adopt the principles of governance, tourism for all, digital transformation, and environmental protection, continuing that several projects will be presented that the organization seeks to implement in the next stage in cooperation with its partners. The two strategies, which are the “Arab Village Project – Tourism Development Fund, in cooperation with Itqan Capital Company,” And to provide a summary of the most important achievements and activities of the Arab Tourism Organization during the year 2023.

 

Al Fuhaid concluded his speech by offering the highest expressions of thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, for his keenness and continued interest.
