The Karate Federation announces the details of Egypt’s hosting of the 2025 World Championship
The Egyptian Karate Federation, headed by Mohamed El-Dahrawy, will organize a press conference tomorrow, Thursday, to announce that Egypt will host the 2025 World Karate Championship in a historic event for Egyptian karate, after organizing the World Championship in 1988.

The press conference will be held tomorrow, Thursday, in a Cairo hotel, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Antonio Spinius, President of the International Karate Federation, Engineer Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, Oka Hiroshi, Japanese Ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed El-Dahrawy, President of the Egyptian Federation, and members. The Federation’s Board of Directors.
The International Karate Federation, headed by Antonio Spinius, agreed to hold the 2025 World Adult Singles Championship in Egypt, and the Egyptian Federation, headed by Mohamed El-Dahrawy requested to host the 2025 World Championship competitions, which was unanimously approved by the members of the General Assembly, during the International Federation Congress in October 2023.
Al-Dahrawy revealed to the Egyptian Federation that holding the tournament in Egypt came after… The approval of all members of the General Assembly of the International Federation was unanimous, which confirms the confidence and strength of the General Assembly of Karate in Egypt’s ability to organize a strong tournament.
Mohamed El-Dahrawy, President of the Egyptian Karate Federation, signed the contract to host the 2025 World Championship, which Egypt won. The International Karate Federation has the right to officially host it.
Egypt is preparing to host the World Karate League Championship “Premier League” In the indoor hall of Cairo International Stadium during the period from April 19 to 21.
About 381 male and female players and actors are participating in the tournament. For the 59 countries, registration closed on April 4, and Egypt is represented in the tournament by 26 male and female players.
The best 32 players in the international classification for each scale participate in the Premier League tournament, and the tournament awards points. It is an important improvement in the global rankings of players, as the first place player gets 1,200 points, and it is among the qualifying tournaments for the 2025 World Championship in Cairo, and therefore the slogan of the International Federation of Premier League Championships became “The Road to Cairo 2025”.
