The Ministry of Interior announces the end of the weather depression and continues efforts to complete the recovery phase
Abu Dhabi, April 17 / WAM / The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the National Center of Meteorology and strategic partners, announced the end of the depression that affected various regions of the country, after the rains receded and the weather conditions gradually improved.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the efforts of the field work teams worked in a preventive manner, and the Supreme Committee for Internal Security was in permanent session during the weather situation, to ensure rapid response and business continuity, and those teams will continue their work until the completion of the recovery phase, and the civil defense, ambulance, rescue and patrol teams will continue. The task of the police force is to secure the roads and places of water flow, valleys and dam exits, organize traffic and withdraw accumulated water, leading to the complete restoration of normal life in all civil facilities.
The Ministry appreciated the role of the concerned authorities and their handling during the depression, noting that they contributed to reducing the repercussions resulting from the unusual weather condition, through an integrated response that was characterized by proactive and professionalism and contributed greatly positively to protecting lives and property and enhancing stability and safety in society.
The Ministry also praised the positive role of social responsibility, which was confirmed by the public’s awareness and positive role during the period of the passage of the depression, through its confidence in the state agencies to deal with emergency weather situations, and its follow-up of developments through the official state channels, noting the importance of continuing to adhere to the guidelines and instructions issued by Official authorities and staying away from places where valleys flow and water pools.
