The World Humanitarian Asia Conference 2024 unites social investment efforts to advance humanitarian action in Asia

Abu Dhabi, April 17 / WAM / Abu Dhabi will host the Asian Humanitarian World Conference 2024 (AVPN Global Conference 2024) from April 23 to 25. The conference will be held for the first time in the West Asia region, and brings together the largest network of social investors in Asia in the West region of the continent. .

The conference brings together more than 1,500 social investment leaders from around the world under the slogan “One Asia, One Future,” to forge partnerships, introduce innovations, and attract new funding needed to achieve sustainable social impact in Asia, and provides an opportunity for organizations working in the field of social investments to learn about best practices. Communication and cooperation for the benefit of Asia, and overcoming its pressing social, economic and environmental challenges.

Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Member of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, said: “The UAE recognizes that global challenges require joint solutions, and our hosting of the World Asian Humanitarian Conference 2024 reflects our commitment to building a better future for all, through joint action.” Innovation and sustainable investment, and we look forward to stimulating progress and concluding new partnerships towards our common development goals, by harnessing Abu Dhabi’s leading position and its ability to unite the ranks of various actors.”

Her Excellency added: “This year’s conference will be the most comprehensive compared to previous sessions, as it links North Asia, South Asia, East and West, to reflect the capabilities of Abu Dhabi and the Asian Humanitarian Network, and its ability to unify efforts on the continent by attracting investors, philanthropists, companies, policy makers, researchers, businessmen and organizations.” The influential global organization operating in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and all regions east to Australia and New Zealand.”

For her part, Naina Subharwal Batra, CEO of the Asian Humanitarian Network, said: “As the deadline for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals approaches, the $1.5 trillion financing gap in Asia remains a clear obstacle, and the crisis is worsening in light of the current challenges facing the region. The conference’s work includes several topics, including the role of influential investors in achieving carbon neutrality, stimulating the transition towards clean energy through blended finance, harnessing artificial intelligence to contribute to charitable fields, and influencing through empowering youth.

The World Humanitarian Asia Conference 2024 will host a group of expert speakers and prominent figures who have made significant contributions in the areas of global development, social impact investments, strategic philanthropic initiatives, investors, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, policy makers and government leaders.

The list of speakers includes Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Development, Her Excellency Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Princess Nouf bint Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Saud, CEO of the King Khalid Foundation in Saudi Arabia, and Robert Rosen, Director of Charitable Partnerships. The conference continues the success of the 2023 session, which was attended by more than 1,300 participants from more than 44 countries in this global dialogue, by launching frameworks, research papers and initiatives that include the establishment of a $3 million fund focusing on youth mental health.
