Abu Dhabi, April 18 / WAM / In its 33rd session, which will be held from April 29 to next May 5, under the slogan “Here… the stories of the world are told,” the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair attracts 1,350 publishers from 90 countries, including 140 participating houses. For the first time, more than 375 local exhibitors, including publishers, distributors and government agencies, will present their latest releases.

12 countries are participating in the exhibition for the first time: Greece, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Pakistan, Cyprus, Mozambique, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Brazil.

The exhibition offers the public a variety of cultural events and activities. During the event, the digital payment system is implemented in an integrated manner for the first time. China is participating in a qualitative manner this year with nine pavilions, making it the largest in any book fair in the world.

This year, the exhibition offers its visitors a rich and diverse cultural program, in which an elite group of thinkers, experts, and specialists participate. For the third year in a row, the event holds a series of “debates” that are held in the style of the internationally known Oxford Method, which will be the first in the Arab world in this context.

After the success achieved by podcast episodes from Abu Dhabi last year, this year the exhibition is devoting a second session, which is considered the largest in terms of attracting the largest podcast programs in the Arab world.

The exhibition will host the “Eight Podcast” from Saudi Arabia, in which CEO Abdul Rahman Abu Maleh will participate in a dialogue session reviewing the Eight Podcast experience and its successes. This year, the exhibition opens new horizons for publishing and creative industries, as it presents a professional program that seeks to support Arab and international publishers, highlighting in this year’s session artificial intelligence and its impact on the world of publishing and creative industries, with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists.

The program focuses on sustainability in line with the “Year of Sustainability” in the UAE, exchanging knowledge, experiences, and copyrights with international publishing houses, and discovering new opportunities in artificial intelligence, the digital field, creative industries, and more. The program offers an integrated set of key lectures and workshops that address… Artificial intelligence in the publishing industry, while a copyright exchange forum will be organized.

For the first time, the exhibition organizes the professional program “Arabic Content Forum for Children and Young People,” which targets writers, illustrators, publishers, and creators in this sector. For the first time this year, the exhibition provides photography enthusiasts with the opportunity to learn about the aesthetics of this reality, through “The Image is a Language,” a specialized forum within the Arts Corner, which will serve as a living embodiment of a dialogue between languages ​​and alphabets.

This year, the exhibition dedicates a special corner and an integrated cultural program for children and adolescents, presenting a series of rich activities that combine knowledge and science, practical application and fun, supervised by an elite group of experts and specialists from around the world.
