New Zealand police shoot ram after killing elderly couple

Police shot a ram that killed an elderly couple on their property in New Zealand after it “confronted” them too.
The couple, in their 80s, were found dead in a meadow by a relative who had gone to check on them on Thursday morning.

It is believed that the husband went to feed the ram but did not return. His wife was murdered when she went to look for him.
Police said they were called to the property in Waitākere, west Auckland, shortly before 7.30am on Thursday.
