Renewing the cooperation protocol between the Arab Tourism Media Union and South Sinai

Major General Dr. Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai in Egypt, announced the governorate’s agreement with the Arab Union for Tourism Media, a member of the Forum of Arab Specialized Federations sponsored by the League of Arab States, to enhance cooperation between the two sides in a way that contributes to supporting tourism movement in the governorate’s cities.

Major General Khaled Fouda and Dr. Sultan Al-Yahyaei, President of the Union, agreed to renew the cooperation protocol between the two sides that has extended for several years, to shed light on the tourist destinations in South Sinai Governorate, and to stimulate Arab and Western tourism delegations to visit the cities of the governorate, through The Union includes a wide network of Arab journalists and media professionals specializing in tourism media.

Major General Khaled Fouda praised the efforts made by the Arab Union for Tourism Media in support of Egyptian tourism in general and South Sinai Governorate in particular.

In a post on his official account on the social networking site “Facebook”, he confirmed his great support for the union headed by Dr. Sultan Al-Yahya’i, congratulating the renewal of confidence of the Union’s General Assembly in Al-Yahya’i to head the union for a new term.

Fouda added that the governorate is keen to implement Joint activities with the Union, including hosting Arab media professionals on the sidelines of the Union’s annual forum, which is scheduled to be held in Cairo and includes a visit by the participating delegations to the South Sinai Governorate.

 It is scheduled to organize a meeting that includes the Governor of South Sinai with tourism media professionals from Various parts of the Arab world have joined the federation, to inform them of the components of tourism conservation and various activities and to contribute to conveying the image to Arab tourists everywhere.

For his part, Dr. Sultan Al Yahyai, ​​President of the Arab Federation for Tourism Media, said that the federation is proud to cooperate with various Tourism institutions and sectors in Egypt, including the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, and the South Sinai Governorate, to support their plans to attract Arab and Western tourist delegations to Egypt.

Al-Yahyaei added: The Union intends to organize its annual meeting in Egypt during the next month, with the participation of media professionals. Arabs from various Arab countries, including the Sultanate of Oman, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain  Lebanon, Jordan, and the Maghreb countries, to learn about plans to promote Egyptian tourism and the processes of developing tourist destinations in Egypt.

Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs in Egypt, had earlier received Dr. Sultan Al-Yahiaei, President of the Union, and Mustafa Abdel Moneim, founder of the Union and Secretary-General of the Union, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Cairo to discuss plans for joint cooperation.

The Egyptian official stressed, during the meeting, the importance of cooperation with the Union in tourism and the unique landmarks that Arab countries are full of, which contributes to revitalizing tourism programs. .
