Hospitalised star diagnosed with heart problem

Doctors have found a defect in the heart of Leon Te Hau – the boom South Sydney youngster who collapsed at training this week.

The former Queensland under 18 representative was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after he felt physically ill and fainted during a training session at Souths’ Heffron Park headquarters.

“A few players have had it in the past and it can be fixed hopefully by just taking some medication.

“The doctors say he will be released from hospital on Saturday and we are hoping he is back training and playing again in a couple of weeks.

“It gave everyone a scare but he is on the mend.”
