The Minister of Culture explained that this report includes the main objectives of the Committee on Culture and National Identity in the National Dialogue, and a number of proposals issued by the committee’s experts in this regard, and it also includes the current situation in the Ministry of Culture. The Minister said that a proposed draft had been presented to amend the regulations in line with the state’s vision to allow the sale and marketing of heritage crafts, ensuring their development and non-extinction and obtaining a financial return that would support cultural and artistic activities, and the plan also The future of the Ministry is based on the establishment of units with a special nature in law, as well as in light of what will result from practical application following the Ministry of Finance’s adoption of the draft list of activities referred to.

The Minister said: “The Ministry will, through the committees of the Supreme Council of Culture and the General Authority For the cultural palaces, by developing recommendations to preserve the Egyptian identity, forming awareness and transforming these recommendations into a cultural policy paper through which an effective cultural program can be developed.

The committee also presented another proposal within this main goal, which is the necessity of exploiting public spaces to hold artistic and cultural events, in cooperation with students of institutes and universities. At the same time, the National Dialogue Committee presented a proposal to expand the naming of streets and squares by the names of great writers and poets, and the Minister of Culture explained that the Civilizational Coordination Agency is currently completing the “He Lived Here” project.
