The Foreign Minister holds a political consultation session with his South African counterpart in Pretoria

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held today, Friday, a political consultation session with his South African counterpart, Dr. Naledi Pandor.

 

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, said – In a blog post on his official account on the “X” platform, Today, Friday, the political consultation session comes at the beginning of the Foreign Minister’s visit to Pretoria to head the Egyptian delegation to the joint committee between Egypt and South Africa.

 

Shoukry had headed yesterday evening – To the city of Pretoria, to chair the Egyptian side participating in the work of the tenth session of the joint committee between Egypt and South Africa, which is held at the level of foreign ministers, with the participation of a number of senior officials from the ministries and relevant national authorities from both sides.

 

The “foreign spokesman” explained: The joint committee between Egypt and South Africa is held alternately every two years, and aims to follow up and strengthen mechanisms for joint action and cooperation in multiple diplomatic, political, security, economic and social fields. He revealed that a number of memorandums of understanding and agreements will be signed during this session that achieve the common interests of the two countries and contribute to enhancing The bonds of cooperation and friendship between them.
