The Ruler of Sharjah directs the immediate start of inventorying and evaluating the damage resulting from weather impacts

Sharjah, April 19 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the relevant authorities in the emirate to immediately begin inventorying and assessing the damage resulting from the effects of the weather condition that the emirate experienced.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah also directed the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to reopen the valley drains in the Emirate of Fujairah that had been filled in, which caused large accumulations of rainwater in residential neighborhoods in the city of Kalba.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah also directed the Sharjah Police General Command and the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority to work and coordinate with the Department of Social Services, the emirate’s municipalities, and the competent authorities that provide logistical support in operations to confront the effects of the weather condition, to begin assessing the damage, and to accelerate the provision of all possible means of support, which Ensures the stability of residents living in Sharjah.

His Highness appreciated the efforts of the field work teams, including employees of government and military departments and bodies, and volunteers, both citizens and residents, who made a great effort to confront the weather condition and help all members of society, to preserve their lives, and to accelerate the return of normal life to all cities and regions of the emirate.
