By acclamation: Ahmed Nasser, President of the African Triathlon Federation

Major General Ahmed Nasser, President of the Egyptian and African Triathlon Federations and President of the Union of African Federations (AUCA), won a new term for the presidency of the Confederation of African Triathlon by acclamation, in the electoral cycle from 2024 to 2028 during the Federation’s General Assembly meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the African Championship qualifying for the Olympics. Paris 2024, held in the Sahl Hasheesh region in the Red Sea Governorate.

 

 

The formation of the new African Union Council was as follows: First Deputy Dr. Debbie Alexander from South Africa, and second-in-command M. Boubacar Gaya from Senegal, Secretary General Saint Louis from Mauritius and Treasurer Aydog Nagasam from Cameroon, while the members were won by Adewale Enitan Oladungwe, Joycelyn Leah Nyambura, Ali Mabrouk Al-Zaidi, Ferial Schwiter, Alexis Mbaraga.

 

The opening session of the general meeting witnessed the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Marie-Sole Casado, President of the International Federation and member of the International Olympic Committee, Antonio Armani, Secretary-General of the International Federation, Gilles Gilbert, President of the Central African Olympic Committee, and Dr. Imad El-Banani. The Secretary-General of the AUCSA, Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, Chairman of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, 30 presidents of the local African Triathlon Confederation from African countries, members of the African Triathlon Confederation, and members of the General Assembly of the African Triathlon Confederation.
