Japan protests North Korea’s latest missile tests

Japan today (Monday) strongly condemned North Korea’s latest missile tests as a violation of UN Security Council resolutions, and also lodged a protest through diplomatic channels.

Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said in a press conference, according to what Reported by the Japanese Kyodo News Agency – “Tokyo strongly condemns the missile test and has lodged a protest with Pyongyang”… adding, “North Korea’s series of actions, including its repeated missile launches, constitute a threat to the peace and stability of Japan, the region and the international community.”

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida issued instructions to relevant ministries and agencies to collect information to ensure the safety of aircraft and ships, according to his office.

North Korea’s latest missile launch comes at a time when Japan, South Korea and the United States are working The United States has decided to intensify its security cooperation to address Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile development programs.

Washington and its allies in East Asia are closely monitoring the possibility of North Korea launching a spy satellite, while an American research center expects this to happen at the end of this month at the latest.
