May 20.. Ruling on claims to invalidate the Zamalek Club elections
The Supreme Administrative Court of the State Council decided today, Monday, to reserve the appeals filed by Jamal Abdel Karim Sayed, Majid Farouk Al-Hanbali and others, in which they demand halting the implementation of the appealed ruling in Case No. 78/12303 and adjudicating again to halt the implementation of the two contested decisions with the consequences of that. One of the most important effects is the invalidation of the Zamalek Club Board of Directors elections that were held on 10/20/2023, after the lawsuit was returned to hold elections again for the subject district.
The appeal, which bore the appeal number No. 70/21023, was adjudicated by 1- Minister of Youth. and Sports, 2- Executive Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports 3- Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate, 4- Chairman of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, 5- Chairman of the committee receiving applications for candidacy for the Zamalek Club elections.
The Administrative Court of the State Council ruled not to accept all lawsuits demanding the invalidation of the recent Zamalek Club elections, as well as not to accept the invalidity of the nominations of the winners of the elections for membership in the Council.
