Palestine requests an emergency meeting of the Arab League Council

The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, announced that the State of Palestine has submitted a request to hold an extraordinary session of the League Council at the level of permanent delegates as soon as possible, in light of the continuation of the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the escalation of The Israeli aggression and settler terrorism in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the United States’ use of its veto in the Security Council against the State of Palestine obtaining full membership in the United Nations.

Ambassador Al-Aklouk said, in a statement on Monday, that the State of Palestine had submitted a request to hold the meeting to discuss the aforementioned developments, as well as to listen to an in-depth briefing from the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese.
