Roads and Transportation 360 services are developed in maritime transport through electronic linking to the Dubai Maritime Authority system

DUBAI, April 22 / WAM / The Roads and Transport Authority has begun cooperation with the Dubai Maritime Authority at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, with the aim of improving and developing the 360 ​​service mechanism for maritime transport services at the Authority through electronic linking to the Dubai Maritime Authority system for services provided to the public, represented in short-term leasing of the marine berth. To enable private boats to dock at marine stations for short periods without spending the night.

The first step of this cooperation was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Authority and the Dubai Maritime Authority, signed by Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Authority, and on behalf of the Roads and Transport Authority, Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, Executive Director of the Public Transport Agency.

Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum said: “The Maritime Authority’s work aims to build effective strategic partnerships with government agencies, private sector institutions, and all parties concerned with maritime affairs in the Emirate of Dubai in order to embody its ambitious vision of creating a renewable and safe maritime sector capable of meeting the requirements of sustainable economic development in the Emirate.” Dubai, stressing that the Authority seeks to expand practical frameworks and develop effective policies that contribute to implementing the highest maritime safety standards and the best green maritime initiatives in line with local and international laws in order to create a safe and appropriate maritime environment for managing operational operations and the success of maritime businesses of all kinds.”

Bahrozian expressed his pleasure at signing this memorandum with the Dubai Maritime Authority, stressing the RTA’s continued keenness to cooperate with the relevant authorities in the emirate to develop and improve its services related to maritime transport and other related services, with the aim of making its customers happy and raising their level of satisfaction with these services.

Other goals that the Roads and Transport Authority seeks to achieve include improving marine craft licensing services registered with the Dubai Maritime Authority through electronic linking with insurance companies in the Roads and Transport Authority system, and improving marine craft crew licensing services registered with the Dubai Maritime Authority by obtaining data. Examining the RTA system and providing and simplifying the linking procedures between the two parties to facilitate procedures for the concerned departments with the aim of obtaining customer data in addition to data on registered marine vessels and providing the service to customers.
