Abdel Hadi is Chairman of the Council of the Egyptian Writers Union and Hassan is Vice-President

The General Syndicate of the Egyptian Writers Union has recently reconstituted the union’s new office body. Al-Arab said that the union held elections for its new formation this Saturday evening.

The union’s board of directors confirmed that the new formation had been chosen by acclamation and resulted in the continuation of the great poet and thinker. Dr. Alaa Abdel Hadi was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the poet Sayyed Hassan won the position of Vice President, the poet Zeinhom Al-Badawi continued as General Secretary, and the poet Jaber Bassiouni won the position of Treasurer. 

 

 

The choice of the new formation came unanimously among the members of the Board of Directors present for these elections. In the same context, immediately after the formation of the new council of the Egyptian Writers Union, he chose  Critical Board  The great Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Muttalib was appointed honorary president of the General Syndicate of the Writers Union for the year 2024.

The poet and thinker Dr.  Alaa Abdel Hadi, President of the General Syndicate of the Egyptian Writers Union and Secretary-General of the General Union of Arab Writers, said that the choice of  Dr. Mohamed Abdel Muttalib was named honorary president of the General Syndicate of the Egyptian Writers Union, in recognition of his high critical standing and distinguished academic standing.
