More than 500 volunteers at the Asian Athletics Cup
Dubai, April 27 / WAM / More than 500 male and female volunteers from 12 nationalities are participating in organizing the Asian Athletics Championships “Dubai 2024”.
The championship activities will be held at the Dubai Police Officers Club from April 24 to 27 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the National Olympic Committee.
Mohammed Al Balushi, one of the volunteer leaders in the Takatuf Program of the Emirates Foundation, stressed that developing and enhancing the capabilities of young people in volunteer work is one of the most important pillars of encouraging them to engage in volunteer work and providing them with appropriate opportunities throughout the country.
Al Balushi said that the volunteers have distinguished experience in various events, and they were selected with great care, and distributed to many departments in the organizing committees at the level of guest services, teams, transportation, crowd organizing, competition management, media, and ceremonies, in addition to the events for the opening and closing ceremony of the tournament.
He added: I assume the responsibility of the Protocol Commander, and all the volunteers have shown a great desire to work 24 hours a day, and the Takatuf Volunteer Program covers all activities at the state level, and thanks to the vision of our wise leadership, the culture of volunteering represents an essential component of the Emirati identity, to translate the bright image of the country into The events it hosts, and providing all the requirements that enhance its global leadership in organizing them.
