ISESCO and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation agree to deepen the partnership

   Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), discussed with Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in the city of Riyadh, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, which is currently hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Strengthening the partnership between ISESCO and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, especially in the fields of education, science and culture.

 

A statement by ISESCO stated that during the meeting that took place today, Sunday, Dr. Al-Malik reiterated ISESCO’s keenness to To deepen the existing cooperation relations with the parent organization (the Organization of Islamic Cooperation), to serve the member states of the two organizations, and to enhance joint work, through the implementation of programs and projects in the fields of science, culture and education, especially girls’ education, capacity building for youth and women, and social care for vulnerable groups in countries most in need.

The statement added that the Director-General of ISESCO invited the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to visit Rabat during the meetings of the Joint Committee for Cooperation between the two organizations, which is held annually to coordinate cooperation plans between ISESCO and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and to learn closely about the most prominent initiatives and programs. Which each organization works on.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomed the invitation, appreciating the roles of ISESCO and the programs and projects it implements to support the countries of the Islamic world in their areas of specialization, stressing his keenness to continue the partnership between the two organizations.
