The court fined the musicians of the group “Metal Corrosion” for demonstrating Nazi symbols

The Nizhny Novgorod District Court on Saturday imposed a fine of one thousand rubles on the leader of the Metal Corrosion group, Sergei Troitsky, known by the nickname Spider. He was found guilty under an administrative charge of displaying Nazi symbols.

In addition to him, the band’s guitarists Daniil Burenkov and Ramil Zeynalov were fined the same amount. conveys RIA Novosti agency.

On the evening of April 27, police special forces disrupted the band’s concert at the “Hate” club in Nizhny Novgorod. The musicians and about 40 spectators were detained. Some were beaten. The director of the group, Maria Runova, suffered a concussion, told edition “Base”. She herself reported that law enforcement agencies had complaints about the group’s branded products.

In a commentary to RIA Novosti, Troitsky said that the group does not promote prohibited symbols, since they do not understand them.

Musicians have already been fined for displaying Nazi symbols; several of their songs have been included in the federal list of extremist materials, including the compositions “Rep is Kal,” “Speak Russian!”, “Beat the Devils,” and “Zig Heil!” The group has been repeatedly accused of using Nazi aesthetics and xenophobia.
