The Kremlin: It is too early to talk about Russia’s response if the West seizes its assets

 Dmitry Peskov, press spokesman for the Russian Presidency (Kremlin), confirmed that it is too early to talk about the Russian response to the West’s seizure of Russian assets, indicating that there is Western money in his country.

 

Peskov said – in a television interview, today, Sunday – that “the step to confiscate Russian assets will lead to a loss of reliability in the Western economy,” explaining that “investors and foreign countries who hold assets in these countries will begin to think… times before investing their money.”

He added that “the confiscation of Russian assets will serve as a strong nail in the coffin of the entire Western economic system in the future,” stressing that his country “will defend its interests endlessly through judicial procedures.” And others in the event of seizing Russian assets.” In this context, Peskov said: His country’s opponents will try to test its weakness, stressing the need for Moscow not to appear weak at all.
