Al Mariah Bank signs a memorandum of understanding with Ajman University
Ajman, April 30, 2017 – Al Mariah Local Bank, the digital bank in the UAE, signed a memorandum of understanding with Ajman University, with the aim of providing its students with academic and professional training and development programmes.
This cooperation comes in line with the Ajman Government’s strategy, which aims to develop the scope of cooperation with leading universities and educational institutions to improve the academic content, skills and professional competencies required for UAE government employees and raise their performance to new levels.
The partnership seeks to establish cooperation through which the local Al Mariah Bank provides young professionals with educational programs (academic and executive development) that suit the economic requirements of Ajman and that benefit the United Arab Emirates in general. Ajman University students will benefit from internships, employment assistance, Seminars, conferences, as well as consulting projects and joint research enhance their employability skills.
Dr. Karim Al-Saghir, Director of Ajman University, said: “Ajman University is committed to graduating distinguished cadres and leaders in various fields who contribute effectively to supporting and developing the economic and social structure in the United Arab Emirates and beyond. Our partnership today with the local Al Mariah Bank embodies this commitment and aims to raise the competencies of Employees of the government and private sectors, enabling them to achieve their professional ambitions, which will directly benefit the state’s economy.”
For his part, Hamid Al-Attar, Executive Vice President of the Corporate Sector at the local Al Mariah Bank, said: “We are keen to partner with Ajman University, one of the preferred educational program providers in the United Arab Emirates, and we will become an active member in making the academic experience for students richer at all levels, as we provide “University students have training opportunities, and we provide graduates with the opportunity to begin their professional experiences with the local Al Mariah Bank. We believe in the importance of supporting young people and providing them with appropriate opportunities to achieve progress, especially those that will affect them in their future professional lives.”
