But the global health official warned that the bird flu virus is evolving, as are the risks associated with it, which require close monitoring, so the World Health Organization recommends that countries strengthen disease surveillance in both animals and humans, implement strict biosecurity measures on farms, and ensure that farm workers are protected with personal protective equipment that They need this in addition to strengthening surveillance of people exposed to the virus due to the nature of their work, through active case detection and serology studies, as well as rapid exchange of information and genetic sequence data.
The WHO official said that the study recently conducted by the US Food and Drug Administration on the effect of “pasteurization” on the survival of the bird flu virus in milk is promising, noting that pasteurized milk is expected to be safe for consumption, as the WHO previously said.
