Minister of Supply: Wheat reserves are sufficient for 3 months and rationed sugar for 11.4 months
The Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, announced that the strategic reserve of goods is safe and sufficient for several months.
The Minister of Supply indicated – during the press conference held today, Wednesday – that the supply sugar reserve is sufficient for 11.4 months, and that The Ministry imported 500 thousand tons of sugar that have not been used yet.
He said, “The wheat reserve is sufficient for three months, and the total amount of local wheat supplied reached 1.1 million tons, while the oil reserve is sufficient for 5.4 months.”
He added: “We have achieved self-sufficiency in poultry, and the size of the frozen meat reserve has reached three months,” indicating that the Ministry of Supply has contracts for live meat sufficient for 11 months.
