A parliamentary question about the government’s plan to anticipate the jobs of the future

Engineer Tariq Shukri, a member of the House of Representatives, addressed a parliamentary question to Counselor Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the Council, addressed to the Ministers of Higher Education, Education, Communications, and Information Technology, regarding the government’s plan to anticipate “the jobs of the future.”

 

Shukry said, in his question, that the higher education and scientific research sector in Egypt has received the attention, support, and follow-up of President Sisi during the past ten years, and this has led to To an unprecedented quantitative and qualitative development in this sector .Shukri pointed out: The Egyptian higher education system has come a long way in the field of development and modernization. To be able to fulfill its role and perform its academic and societal mission as desired, as we now have 92 universities, between governmental, private, private and technological, and framework and international agreements, instead of 49 universities in 2014. ;He continued, that President Sisi keeps pace with the present and races the future through insightful vision and strives to confront the upcoming challenges, and from here comes his interest in the necessity of anticipating the jobs of the future, in light of the tremendous technological development that we see He explained that the world stands on the brink of a technological revolution that will bring about a radical change in the jobs of the future, and for this we must prepare people who are more enlightened and capable of keeping up with developments. >

 The member of the House of Representatives stressed that the matter of preparing people for tomorrow is not limited to governments, but rather to parents who are concerned with the future of their children. From now on, they must know what the “jobs of the future” are.Tariq Shukri called for  to move seriously towards the future, and to unleash our creative imagination in order to determine our future goals, We are heading towards a future in which there is no room for falling into the trap of the duality of technology and the human element..

 

He also called on the Ministry of Higher Education to keep pace with changes, anticipate the future as a method of work and an approach that develops future planning capabilities, and develop scenarios that anticipate the future trends of the labor market and keep pace with them, by developing proactive strategies, initiatives and policies based on correct readings of future trends
