Integration between digital and real economy drives industry transformation in China’s Xinjiang

Xinjiang (China) May 4 / WAM / The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China announced the intensification of its efforts to strengthen industrial clusters for emerging strategic industries, within the national innovation-based development strategy, with the aim of developing “new productive forces” characterized by advanced technologies, efficiency and high quality. .

The region – according to a report by the China Media Group – witnessed remarkable growth in various sectors, including photovoltaic energy, and established a talent fund worth 10 billion yuan in 2022 and allocated another 10 billion yuan to finance industrial development, with a focus on emerging strategic industries.

Xinjiang plans to establish new energy and hydrogen bases, expand industrial chains for new materials based on aluminum and copper, as well as boost advanced manufacturing sectors.

The region aims to enhance the integration between the digital and real economies to accelerate the development of new, high-quality productive forces.
