The Prime Minister and his companions moved to inspect the technology center in the governorate, where Mohamed Sami Abdel Moneim, director of the technology center for citizen service, gave a detailed explanation about the services provided by the center, adding that the new center is built on an area of ​​200 square meters. Dr. Enas Samir, Deputy Governor of South Sinai, noted that as part of the efforts made for digital transformation, the governorate was able to obtain the Excellence Award in Geographic Information Systems (Esri SAG Award) for the year 2024, which will be received from California, noting that the award is presented by the company “Esri” Global Institutions and Companies for their outstanding efforts in using geographic information systems to understand complex data and confront spatial challenges globally, in its annual conference with the participation of more than 75 thousand participants from major companies and institutions around the world, adding that this is the first award of its kind received by an entity in Egypt in the field of systems. The efforts of the Urban Observatory Center in South Sinai Governorate were also reviewed in collecting and analyzing the data required to conduct urban indicators to benefit from them in preparing policies and urban development plans. Sustainable, in a way that meets the needs of the population in the governorate to achieve quality of life, including indicators of economic development, urban development, governance indicators, citizen satisfaction indicators with the level of services, competitiveness indicators, and tourist satisfaction indicators with the services provided.

In this regard, The executive position of the project to transform Sharm El Sheikh into a green city was reviewed, by applying the environmental sustainability approach in waste, energy, transportation, water, and biodiversity.

 

After completing the inspection of the building, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly and his companions visited the central park, where Engineer Khaled Ghanem, commissioner of the project implementing agency from the Ministry of Military Production, provided a detailed explanation in which he explained that the central park is located on an area of ​​40 acres in the Green Triangle area, as part of efforts to transform Sharm El Sheikh into a green city. It also contains pedestrian paths with a length of 2,500 meters, entertainment places, and an outdoor theater for holding cultural and artistic events.

 

Engineer Khaled Ghanem added that the park also includes a number of lakes, fountains, and a commercial mall.
