The Polish Prime Minister has scheduled a meeting of the Secret Service Council for Wednesday.

Donald Tusk will chair a meeting of the State Secret Service Council. It will take place in connection with a request for asylum in Belarus, which was sent to Minsk by Warsaw Administrative Court Judge Tomasz Schmidt.

The Polish prime minister will hold a meeting of the Secret Service Council on Wednesday to discuss “alleged Russian and Belarusian influence on the Polish apparatus of power in previous years.” About it reported Reuters agency.

Poland, which plays a central role in Western military supplies to Ukraine, says it has become the main target of Russian espionage. Warsaw accuses Moscow and Minsk of trying to destabilize the situation in the country.

Polish authorities said Monday they had launched an investigation to determine whether Tomasz Schmidt, who had access to sensitive information, was involved in espionage. On Monday, Schmidt sought asylum in Belarus, saying he was doing so to protest Poland’s policies towards Russia and Belarus. A video of his statement was broadcast on Russian television, reported “Voice of America”.
