And the Egyptian delegation won first place in the adult competitions with a total number of medals of 23 (10 gold – 11 silver – 2 bronze) and 2 qualifying places for the Paris Olympics for Omar Al-Arabi after achieving the gold medal in the individual competitions, and Mahmoud won the gold medal in the women’s individual competitions, and the results of the national gymnastics team in the junior competitions also came in first place with a total of 24 medals (11 gold – 10 silver – 3 bronze).

The delegation of the Egyptian national gymnastics team, men and women, for adults and juniors, participated in the African Championship qualifying competitions for the 2024 Paris Olympics, during the period from May 3 to 6 in the city of Marrakesh.

Ali Zahran – Omar Al-Arabi – Muhammad Afifi – Abdel Rahman Abdel Halim – Mustafa Walid, along with Gamal Matar, technical director, and assisted by Ahmed Abdel Halim and Sherif Jawdat.

Ladies

Jana Mahmoud – Judy Abdullah – Sandra Al-Sadiq – Cyrine Abu Al-Huda – Shams Ali, and with them Zakaria Ghaleb, technical director, assisted by Radwa Al-Gohary.

While the junior team includes The junior women participating in the African Championship competitions are:

Yahya Zakaria – Mazen Baraka – Ahmed Sharif – Mazen Hazem – Ziad Muhammad, and with them Muhammad Abdel Raouf and Mustafa Omar are coaches.

Today, the artistic gymnastics delegation arrived in Cairo, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, was appointed as his assistant for the championship sector. To receive the adult and junior artistic gymnastics teams at Cairo Airport after they won the African Championship title, which was held in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh during the period from May 3-6, 2024.
