Rashida Tlaib Breaks Silence: A Cry for Justice in Gaza

Cairo: Hani Kamal El-Din

In a significant political development, U.S. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials due to the actions of the Jewish state in the Gaza Strip. These statements were reported by Fox News.

Tlaib emphasized in a press release that “it is now more evident than ever that we must halt all U.S. military funding to the Israeli apartheid regime and demand President Biden to work towards an immediate, permanent ceasefire.”

She refused to consider it a coincidence that immediately after the allocation of aid to Israel by the United States without any conditions regarding human rights protection, Benjamin Netanyahu “began a ground invasion in Rafah.”

“I urge the ICC to immediately issue arrest warrants against Netanyahu and senior Israeli officials to finally hold them accountable,” the statement said.

On April 29, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked U.S. President Joe Biden to help prevent the International Criminal Court from issuing arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials accused of crimes in the Gaza Strip.
