Sudanese forces sign a document in Cairo that includes a vision for managing the transitional period

 A number of Sudanese political entities and forces signed, today, Wednesday in Cairo, a document that includes a vision regarding the management of the transitional founding period. With the aim of presenting a unified political vision for dealing with the Sudanese crisis, and paving the way for a Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue that provides a political roadmap for a comprehensive solution to the crisis in Sudan.

 

 

The Sudanese forces stated that the signing of the document comes as an affirmation of the principles, goals and values ​​of the December 2019 Revolution, and inspired by the struggle and struggle of the Sudanese people accumulated before and after independence, and in recognition of the challenges facing Sudan, and sensing the importance and inevitability of gathering the national ranks and unifying the position and opinion of all the people of Sudan in order to protect the homeland, its wealth and the citizen. And its gains.

 

 

The Sudanese forces reported that the transitional period had gone through clear faltering, great apparent differences, and serious divisions due to the change in its nature, which led to a blockage. The political horizon.

 

 

She continued that it was necessary for the national components to play their role in leading the popular mobilization to respond to the aggression against the Sudanese people and preserve the state. And to take the lead in presenting visions and plans aimed primarily at unifying and cohesive the internal front and supporting the armed forces to perform their sacred national duty in protecting the people and preserving the structure of the state’s institutions and its national security in accordance with what is guaranteed to them by the Constitution and the law.

 

 

The document included a number of general principles, emphasizing Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, independence of its national decision-making and national security, and that the armed forces are the only legitimate institution responsible for maintaining security and defending the country’s unity and territorial integrity, and it monopolizes the use of Legitimate power.

 

The document also pointed to the importance of recognizing ethnic, religious and cultural pluralism and diversity that achieves equal citizenship as a basis for rights and duties, stressing that the Sudanese people are the holders of sovereignty and authority are delegated by their free will. Whoever wants through free and fair elections with national and international monitoring.

 

 

The document highlighted the necessity of achieving a just and sustainable peace and adopting the principles of transparency, governance and accountability as a basis for governance. Adopting an economic system that achieves balanced development based on the principle of social justice, in addition to the necessity of protecting and preserving the country’s capabilities and resources, is everyone’s responsibility.

 

 

She stressed The Sudanese forces stressed that the aim of signing the document is to settle the political crisis, end the war, and lay the foundations for a just, comprehensive and sustainable peace, and to commit to a framework vision that represents a starting point for ending the war and settling the Sudanese crisis, as well as agreeing on a transitional founding period to rule the country, and reforming and rebuilding the state apparatus in the manner that It reflects its independence, nationalism, and fair distribution of opportunities without prejudice to the conditions of eligibility and competence, in addition to ensuring the achievement of the security and stability necessary for the transition to democratic civil rule.
