The Ruler of Sharjah lays the foundation stone for integrated projects in the Muhdhab suburb of Sharjah

Sharjah, 8 May / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, this morning laid the foundation stone for a group of integrated projects in the Muhadhab suburb of Sharjah, which included the electricity and gas stations, the water tank, the Muhadhab Commercial Center, and the Police Sports Club. His Highness also unveiled the project to complete Al-Shanouf Road, which extends from Nizwa Road at Al-Qasimia City, passing through Al-Siyuh District, until reaching the Muhadhab District.

These projects come within the vision of His Highness and his keenness to provide all educational, commercial and recreational services and integrated infrastructure to enhance the social stability of the families who will live in the Muhaddhab suburb, which is distinguished by its location and the surrounding sand, trees and unique nature.

His Highness directed the construction of an additional branch of the Sharjah Cooperative Society, located between the Al-Qatina and Al-Shanouf areas, to provide the main daily needs and necessary consumables to be near housing in the two areas. His Highness also directed to accelerate the implementation of all projects to be ready when citizens receive their homes in the suburb.

During his speech on this occasion, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah confirmed that all government departments are working under the supervision of His Highness in full coordination and planning to develop solutions to all the challenges facing the development of housing in these new areas. His Highness pointed to his proximity to the people and his personal communication with them in order to provide everything they need. needs and solve problems that they may encounter.

His Highness explained that the Muhaddhab suburb consists of the Al-Qatina and Al-Shanouf areas and contains 6,200 plots of land. His Highness added: “This suburb has pristine land and trees, and we hope, God willing, that we will be kind to its trees and plants, as they are the ones that welcome us and are the ones that pave the way for us, so we will not be ungrateful for them.” Rather, we will be welcome guests //.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah discussed the methods of obtaining housing support, which His Highness detailed in financing, such as government-funded housing, in which deductions are made from the beneficiary’s salary and distributed over the years according to his capabilities and desire, while the government is committed to paying interest to the banks, and as for financing in the form of grants, it is cash sums of money. Or in the form of residential complexes, explaining that if the grant is obtained as a sum of money, the government pays the support requester so that he can design the building and all the arrangements for the housing.

His Highness pointed out that many stumbles occurred for those requesting housing support who were given financial sums directly in many areas, due to the lack of sufficient experience in construction. His Highness explained that residential complexes are ready-to-move-in residences that include all needs, such as bedrooms, family areas, and outdoor spaces for the comfort of families with their children.

His Highness also directed citizens who wish to build and construct their homes, in coordination with the Housing Department, to follow up on the construction, establishment and design processes in order to benefit from their experience and presence in serving citizens, and to prevent wasting financial resources without experience in these fields.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah spoke about the accelerated efforts underway to provide all services in the Muhdhab suburb before the first resident arrives, and to connect the area to the main roads, in addition to completing connections for all services such as electricity, water, natural gas, a nursery for children and schools for education, in addition to establishing a large commercial center that includes all services. What the people of the region need, and a branch of the Sharjah Cooperative Society close to residential areas that includes the daily needs of the population of basic foodstuffs to be accessible to all residents, in addition to a medical clinic that serves the people of the suburb, saying His Highness: “This region will not be far, but rather close and promising, and it will be Everything is available in it, and God willing, we will lay the foundation stone for other groups of housing soon //.

His Highness concluded his speech by noting that work is being carried out according to plans drawn up in all regions of the emirate to meet all the needs of citizens for decent living, education and scholarships for students to the highest levels, which provides everything that will guarantee the future according to the highest requirements and services.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah watched a film about the electricity, water and gas infrastructure projects that were implemented and the others currently being implemented in the Muhdhab suburb at a total cost of 1.1 billion dirhams. The natural gas network project includes extending the main line network, installing and connecting gas service to all residential plots in the suburb, and a new pumping station. While the electricity projects include the Al-Shanouf power transmission station with a power of 33/220 kilovolts, the design of the distribution network, and the completion of lighting on the main roads. As for the water projects, the length of the main internal water lines is about 355 kilometers, in addition to a water tank project with a capacity of 20 million gallons. With pumping station.

His Highness viewed a group of models of the distribution of the water, electricity and gas network in the region, in addition to a model of the power station that will be implemented in Muhadhib, and listened to a detailed explanation of the systems that will feature the station.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi reviewed the designs of the projects for which he laid the foundation stone and learned the details of their contents and facilities.

The Muhadhab Commercial Center, which will be implemented on an area of ​​26,850 square meters, will include the Sharjah Cooperative Society on an area of ​​8,000 square meters, commercial units on an area of ​​18,000 square meters, and other various kiosks.

The Police Sports and Cultural Club building, which will be built on a land area of ​​138,700 square meters, will contain a group of buildings that will provide the environment and sports facilities, including playgrounds, halls, and training rooms with high specifications for police members to practice various sports, which will enhance the level of physical health, sports skills, and investment of time. And enhancing cohesion between members of the police system.

Victoria International School, which is located on a total area of ​​103,790 square metres, will include an administrative building, the medical center, a kindergarten and first-grade building, a classroom building for grades two through six, in addition to a sports complex and theater building, providing the residents of the Muhdhab suburb with an educational edifice distinguished by its educational level. High quality school facilities.

The Muhadhab government nursery, which will be built on a land area of ​​31,400 square meters, will accommodate 180 children from the Muhadhab suburb’s residents and will provide them with the educational and recreational environment and necessary care during childhood and contribute to enhancing the skills acquired at the beginning of their lives.

The Al Shanouf Road project extends from Nizwa Road, starting from Al Qasimia City, to the newly implemented road in the Muhadhab suburb, passing through the Al Suyouh suburb, and intersects with the main roads, Maliha Road, Khor Fakkan Road, and Al Dhaid Road. It is also connected to the Emirates Transit Road from the western side, and the length of the new road is approximately 8 km. meters and is considered a vital road linking the Muhadhdhab suburb to the vital areas of the emirate.
