The Tunisian Football Clubs Association rejects the Sfaxien club’s complaint against Esperance

The office of the Tunisian Football Clubs Association decided, today, Wednesday, to reject the complaint submitted by the CS Sfaxien against Esperance Athletic Club regarding the number of foreign players present on the field during the match that brought together the two teams in the Tunisian League competitions.

It was submitted. CS Sfaxien officials filed a complaint against Esperance Club, due to the number of foreign players in the ranks of the host team, during the match that brought the two teams together last Wednesday in the Tunisian League at Hamadi Al-Aqrabi Stadium in Brades, which ended in a positive draw 1-1.

Sfaxien considered that Esperance violated Article 71 of the Tunisian Football Law during the match, which stipulates the presence of 7 Tunisian players on the field during the course of the match, including the goalkeeper and 6 players. Esperance violated the text of the article after Algerian Houssem Eddine Ghecha entered in place of Tunisian Oussama Bougherra in the 62nd minute. This happened after Togolese international midfielder Roger Aholo was sent off with a red card in the 44th minute, which means that Esperance completed the match with only 6 Tunisian players and 4 foreigners.
