4 medals for the Egyptian national team in the Arab Athletics Championship in Ismailia

The competitions of the first day of the Arab Athletics Championship for men and women under 20 years have ended, which Egypt is hosting at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia, and will continue until May 11.

Egypt was able to achieve 4 various medals, including a silver medal. And three bronze medals.

The player Basant Tariq won the silver medal in the discus throw competition with a distance of 46.20 metres.

While the bronze medals were won by: “Shalimar Muhammad in the throwing competition. The discus with a distance of 42.29 metres, Basil Sameh in the long jump with a distance of 7.27 metres, and Malak Salama in the 3000 meter race with a time of 10.14.24.

While in fourth place came: “Maryam” Nasser, 3000 meter race, Michael Majed in the long jump, Asma Muhammad in the long jump, and Muhammad Shawqi in the shot put.

Farah Ashraf ranked fifth in the long jump, while Hamza Khaled came in sixth place in the shot put. Muhammad Sayed was also in sixth place in the 3000 meter race, and Abbas Youssef ranked eleventh in the 3000 meter race.

Youssef Muhammad qualified for the final of the 800 meter race, while Ahmed Ramadan did not succeed, and Omar Reda also qualified. To the final of the 100-meter race, while Yassin Rami did not succeed, Youssef Mohamed qualified to the final of the 400-meter race, while Mohamed Mahmoud did not succeed, and Mohamed Hatem qualified to the final of the 110-meter hurdles race.

17 countries are participating in the tournament, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Iraq, the Emirates, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Yemen, Algeria, Tunisia, Yemen, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Djibouti, Sudan and Bahrain.

The countries participating in the tournament include 400 male and female players in all scheduled competitions, with our national team participating with 88 male and female players, 44 male and female players. In the largest participation in Arab championships during the past editions.
