"Arab League for Human Rights" Participates in the tenth session of the Arab-European dialogue in Greece

The Arab Organization for Human Rights participated in the tenth session of the Arab-European Dialogue, which meets today and tomorrow in Greece, and which is organized by the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services in Egypt and the Orthodox Academy in Greece, with the participation of representatives of religious and civil institutions, academics, parliamentarians, and diplomats from Arab and European countries.   

 

 

The first session was attended by Alaa Shalabi, head of the organization, who addressed in his intervention the worsening gap between the Arab region and Europe in the context of Differences regarding the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the crime of genocide in the occupied Gaza Strip, calling on the participating European institutions to put pressure on European governments to review their policies and uphold international humanitarian law and human rights, which Europe has always described as its most important civilizational achievements, recalling the common fate of the two neighboring regions.

Shalabi also touched on the importance of strengthening European development cooperation with the southern Mediterranean countries, provided that this cooperation is in accordance with the national priorities of Arab countries determined by governments, calling for the assistance of moderate civil society institutions to participate in setting priorities to enhance reassurance. .
