Head of Health Oversight: The quality of service is the most important factor in determining the level of health systems in the world

Head of the Health Accreditation and Oversight Authority: Good health care achieves disciplined health spending

 

Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, emphasized the depth of the strong bilateral relations between the countries of Egypt and Japan, which extended to include the health sector, as part of the New Republic’s plan to develop the health sector and coordinate with all international organizations and parties to provide the highest levels of quality in health services.< /p>

Dr added. Ahmed Taha: The pioneering role that the State of Japan enjoys in creating quality concepts in various sectors, especially the quality of health care, has effectively contributed to unifying the global language spoken by all international health systems, which emphasizes the right of every person to obtain high-quality health care without Exposure to harm or injury when receiving the service.

The President of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Supervision expressed his gratitude for the joint cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Authority (JICA), stressing the pivotal role of the friendly country of Japan in the field of quality, as JICA has always been  To adopt constructive and distinguished projects and was keen to spread knowledge and a culture of quality and provide support to countries in order to improve the quality of people’s lives and achieve sustainable development. 

This came during his speech at the opening session of the closing ceremony of the cooperation project between Egypt and Japan represented by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the health field through the Quality Improvement Project in Egyptian Hospitals (EH-QIPS), which was organized by the Health Care Authority under the slogan “The Continuous Approach to Improving Health Care.” This was in the presence of Dr. Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, Ambassador Oka, the Japanese Ambassador to Egypt, Kato Ken, Head of the JICA Office in Egypt, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Head of the Health Care Authority and Head of the Project Coordination Committee, Major General Dr. Bahaa El-Din Zidan, Head of the Health Care Authority. Unified purchasing, Dr. Nima Abed, Director of the World Health Organization office in Egypt, and Dr. Aya Nassar, Vice President of the Health Accreditation and Oversight Authority.

The head of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control also stressed that the quality of service is the most important factor in determining the level of health systems in the world, pointing out that good health care achieves disciplined health spending in addition to bringing the rates of medical errors, complications and deaths to their lowest levels.

Dr explained. Ahmed Taha, that the Health Accreditation and Control Authority was established by the Egyptian state in the new republic, and allocated it to control and regulate the Egyptian health sector according to specific standards issued by the authority and obtaining international accreditation, with the aim of ensuring  Quality and safety of health services provided.

The Authority has successfully succeeded in issuing standards and accrediting them internationally from the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ESCWA), then applying them within the Egyptian health sector within a great national project, which is the comprehensive health insurance project, and then monitoring this application to ensure the sustainability of the quality of health services.

The head of the Health Accreditation and Control Authority added that this particular body has received the direct general supervision of the President of the Republic, which reflects the Egyptian state’s keenness to bring health services to a level of quality consistent with international standards.

He added that we look forward to further cooperation with the Japanese JICA organization and with this great project in its next stages.
