The UAE and Iran hold the tenth session of the Joint Consular Committee

ABU DHABI, 10th May / WAM / The United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Iran held the tenth session of their joint consular committee in Abu Dhabi, with the aim of advancing and consolidating cooperation in all joint consular fields to care for and serve the citizens of the two countries.
On the UAE side, the meeting was chaired by His Excellency Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on the Iranian side, His Excellency Ali Reza Bekdali, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Parliamentary Affairs and the Iranian Community Abroad.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of common consular issues between the two countries and plans to follow up and develop them, in addition to discussing ways to enhance joint consular cooperation.
His Excellency Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the UAE’s readiness to deepen cooperation in all fields, including economic and trade, in a way that advances bilateral relations between the two countries and enhances the security, stability and prosperity of the region, stressing the conviction of the UAE and its wise leadership in the importance of building bridges of positive communication and fruitful cooperation with the countries of the region. By consolidating the concepts of good neighborliness in a way that contributes to establishing peace and stability and achieving development and prosperity for its peoples.
His Excellency Khaled Abdullah Belhoul conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his praise of the positive developments between the two countries. He stressed the UAE’s keenness and interest in strengthening and developing relations between the two countries, in a way that reflects the ambitions and directions of the wise leadership.
