Egypt leads the Arab Championship for Youth and Girls Athletics

The Egyptian national team for men and women succeeded in topping the standings of the Arab Championship for men and women, currently held at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia, with the participation of 17 countries.  

 

The Egyptian delegation has so far achieved 23 various medals, including 6 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals. 

 

The Moroccan national team came in second place with 20 various medals, 6 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals, and the Algerian national team came in third place with 18 medals, 5 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals. 

 

Today, Saturday, the competitions of the fourth day of the Arab Championship for men and women under 20 years continue amidst fierce competition among the teams participating in the tournament. 

 

Dr. Saif Shaheen, President of the Egyptian Athletics Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, praised the level of the Egyptian team, which is showing a distinguished level and achieving good results in the tournament amid strong competition from all participating teams, which are providing distinguished levels, which reflects the distinguished level of the tournament. 

 

17 countries are participating in the current Arab Championship, with 400 male and female players. 

 

The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Athletics Federation had He chose Dr. Saif Shaheen as director of the tournament, with Mr. Ahmed Hamza, Vice President of the Federation, and Dr. Majda Al-Khawaja, a member of the Board of Directors, to head the management of the teams. The Federation’s administration chairs the Organization Committee and the Finance Committee, while Dr. Amin Shaaban, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, chairs the Reception, Catering and Accommodation Committee, assigning Mr. Magdy Abdel Badie, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, to chair the tournament’s ceremony and opening committee.
