121 ships register to participate in the race "Al-Qaffal 33"

Dubai, May 12 / WAM / The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Al Gaffal 60-foot Local Sailing Ship Race announced the registration of 121 ships that confirmed their participation in the 33rd edition scheduled to be held on May 15 of this year, after registration closed today.

The Supreme Organizing Committee for the race, headed by Ahmed Saeed bin Meshar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Marine Club, held a meeting today, in the presence of Saif Juma Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the Committee, Khaled Ali Al Balushi, and Mohammed Abdullah Hareb Al Falahi, to find out the latest equipment and preparations for the success of the awaited race.
The committee, in the presence of Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Qassib Al Naqbi, Acting Deputy Director of the Ports Police Station, Mohammed Saif Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, and a number of committee heads, discussed the latest reports related to monitoring the state of the sea and the speeds and directions of the winds expected during this week, and was briefed. On the reports of the National Center of Meteorology and a number of websites specialized in this field, in order to ensure that the race is held in the best conditions.
