China launches a package of measures to support the domestic tourism sector
Beijing, May 19 / WAM / The Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched a package of measures to encourage local tourism and cultural consumption on the occasion of “Chinese Tourism Day”, which falls on May 19 of each year, and includes more than 6,300 measures that will continue throughout the current month.
The China Media Group stated that these measures are being carried out in cooperation with trade associations, companies and telecommunications operators, and include discounts and exemptions at tourist sites, and free or discounted promotional activities by tourism companies.
It is noteworthy that “China Tourism Day”, which is being held for the 14th year in a row, is an important annual event to promote domestic tourism in China and attracts wide attention from the public and relevant institutions.
