Washington Nationals staffer collapses on field in terrifying medical emergency before game against Phillies

A Washington Nationals staff member collapsed on Wednesday before the team’s matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies, it has been reported.

According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, the incident happened during batting practice, with the employee taken off the field on a stretcher.

The rest of the Nationals team reportedly left the field as well at that time. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to the Nationals for comment.

The matchup is currently scheduled to begin at 6:45ET. 

The Nationals have yet to comment on the situation.
