The Met Gala may be one of the most exclusive, opulent events of the year, but that doesn’t mean the celebs in attendance don’t let loose after the formalities are over.
As soon as the formal fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute concludes, it’s almost customary that the upper echelon all get changed into presumably more comfortable couture to attend one of the afterparties.
Similarly to the Met Gala, the afterparties are incredibly exclusive, but unlike the Met Gala, these events are usually on the hush-hush.
So, here’s everything we know about what went down at the multiple Met Gala 2025 afterparties.
Pharrell decked out the tables with Uno
Musician Pharrell Williams was one of the esteemed co-chairs of the 2025 Met Gala, so it was only natural that the Louis Vuitton-associated star hosted kick ons. According to E! Online, Pharrell held an afterparty at the Crane Club in New York City. When guests arrived, they saw packs of Uno laid out on each table.
Although it feels like an odd choice for such a fancy event, apparently it was a huge hit, with the celebs getting stuck into the game the moment they arrived. Celebrities — they’re just like us.
Well, kind of. The only difference was that instead of playing for bragging rights, Pharrell had organised some juicy prizes for the winners. Vogue claimed that the winners could win a pair of Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings, a custom varsity jacket designed by Pharrell a Louis Vuitton trunk or a Richard Mille watch. As you can expect, these items retail for thousands of dollars.
Rumour has it that model Paloma Elsesser and Aris Rachevsky, the boyfriend of Heidi Klum‘s daughter, Leni Klum, who were the finalists. In the end, it was Aris who won the tournament and decided on the Richard Mille watch.
Pharrell’s afterparty had a hell of a lot of big names in attendance, including Kim Kardashian, Pink Pantheress, Halle Bailey and Keke Palmer, to name a few.
A$AP Rocky’s afterparty
While a heap of celebs were busy playing Uno, others were partying up a storm at fellow Met Gala co-chair A$AP Rocky‘s afterparty at beloved New York restaurant, Jeans.
He was joined by his partner, the gorgeously pregnant Rihanna, who is potentially the most beautiful pregnant woman I’ve ever seen.
Other celebs in attendance include Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega, who somehow managed to look even more gorgeous at the afterparty?
The party which seemed to host the It-girls
It seems that the afterparty which had the chicest, hot girl energy, was hosted by my own personal dream girl Ayo Edebiri. The hilarious actor, who has starred in Bottoms and The Bear, threw an afterparty event at a glamorous cocktail lounge in Greenwich Village called People’s.
In attendance was Charli xcx, Lorde, Blackpink’s Jennie and my hallpass Jeremy Allen White, who was reportedly lounging on a velvet banquette seat as he chatted to Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson. Well, according to Vogue, that is.
Julia Fox, Tracee Ellis Ross, Natasha Lyonne and Andrew Scott were also in attendance.
So, you see what I mean about this particular genre of cool kids collectively gathering at this party?
Sydney Sweeney brought her dog?
Sydney Sweeney had an unconventional date alongside her as she was papped leaving New York’s Carlyle Hotel hours after the Met Gala 2025 wrapped up.
She was spotted in comfy clothes with her glam still on as she left the festivities with her German Shepherd puppy Sully.
The jury is still out on whether she brought Sully to an afterparty. I hope she didn’t, tbh.

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s private (and adorable) afterparty
Instead of attending one of the many afterparties being thrown by Hollywood’s elite, engaged couple Dua Lipa and Callum Turner decided to head out to a New York pizza joint for a cheeky slice.
They took some fun lil’ snaps in an almost empty pizzeria while in full glam.
Iconic, no?
