Kath Ebbs Drops Tell-All Podcast Addressing Jojo Siwa Split

Kath Ebbs has spoken at length about the fallout from their relationship with JoJo Siwa, weeks after the pair split amid a firestorm of controversy.

ICYMI, Kath became the subject of international headlines last month when JoJo, whom they’d dated since January, joined Celebrity Big Brother UK and grew close with fellow housemate, Chris Hughes

After exiting the reality show, JoJo reportedly broke up with Kath at the Big Brother after party, and while the Dance Moms alum has spoken about the situation multiple times since then, Kath has remained mostly tight-lipped.

Now, the Aussie influencer has spilled all the deets in the form of a just-released episode of her Conversations with Kath podcast, titled “Big Brother and The Whole Damn Thing”.

The 90-minute episode, hosted by Clare Stephens, sees Kath lift the lid on the entire ordeal, from the details of the break up to their experience watching Big Brother and all that age-gap chatter.

Early on in the interview, Kath confirmed that their relationship with JoJo was solid before the latter entered the Big Brother house.

Kath said they were “excited” for Siwa to join the show, but had warned her not to “get handsy with a lesbian” while in the Big Brother house.

Kath said they told JoJo about Tully Smyth and Anthony Drew, two former housemates on Big Brother Australia who caused shockwaves for their entanglement while Tully had a girlfriend off the show.

“We had discussed it”, Kath said of that scandal, which aired on the tenth season of BBAU back in 2013. “That would be my worst nightmare.”

Kath became aware of JoJo’s friendship with Chris on TikTok

Kath said the first clip they saw of JoJo and Chris’ friendship was on TikTok, and was a video of “her crawling into Chris’ bed in the middle of the night”.

“My heart fell through my fucking asshole and I had the world’s biggest meltdown,” Kath said of their reaction to the clip.

“I was like, ‘something is up.’”

Kath said they were sent countless clips of JoJo during her stay in the house, but didn’t want to comment on anything publicly until they’d reconnected after the show — even though Jojo had “crossed a boundary” in her friendship with Chris.

*That* post-Big Brother reunion

Kath said they were “so fucking nervous” to be reunited with JoJo in the green room immediately after the Big Brother finale, and recalled “holding eachother for ages” when they did eventually reconnect.

After going back and forth on whether to attend the official after party, Kath eventually showed up to a “stunned” JoJo, who then “started breaking up with me”, Kath said.

“I was literally sitting there, so devastated that this was happening… I kept trying to say to her, ‘give it a beat.’”

JoJo told Kath to delete their break up video

Later in the podcast, Kath addressed the TikTok video they posted, then promptly deleted, in the wake of their break-up with JoJo.

“JoJo texted me and was like, ‘Chris is upset,’” Kath said.

“She texted me and said I had dragged Chris into it. I thought it was a bit hilarious. It’s like, Chris dragged himself into it.”

“If he doesn’t want to take that level of responsibility for the way he acted towards someone with a partner, that’s on him,” Kath added.

After agreeing to delete the video, Kath and JoJo met up again for a chat, where Kath “finally got to say my piece.”

“I felt like she got me… We had a moment.”

Kath addressed the age-gap in the relationship

Towards the end of the podcast, Kath said the commentary around them ‘grooming’ JoJo, who is six years their junior, was laughable.

“I’m not laughing about the idea of grooming, I’m laughing at the idea that people would seriously say that, it really minimises the seriousness of that” Kath said.

“In terms of the conversation around our age-gap, we see men [like] Leonardo DiCaprio, he dates women notoriously half his age and younger.”

“So I think there is misogyny at play,” Kath added.

On Thursday, Kath gave another interview in which they explained feeling “like a pawn” in the wake of the headline-grabbing split, and before that, Kath received support from their friend and fellow influencer, Abbie Chatfield.

As for JoJo, the reality star confirmed this week that she will be travelling to the UK at the end of month, but stopped short of revealing the reason for her return.
