We’re coming to the pointy end of Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW), where the fellas must make their final decision about which lovely lady they see themselves settling down with.
So far, we’ve seen a couple of the farmers leave the show early after finding their match. But after Monday and Tuesday night’s episode, fans were left reeling after it became very clear that Farmer Thomas had chosen Clarette as his gal, all the while Rachael and Laura were still on the hook, hoping to win his heart.
On Tuesday, we saw Clarette and Thomas head out on a very romantic, steamy date. He even surprised her with a series of video messages from her loved ones in the UK.
“You’ve got my heart, so look afer it please. And I’ll do the same with yours,” she said poetically.
“Cheers to the most amazing date ever, and to many more to come,” Thomas replied.
While these two were playing tonsil hockey, Rachael and Laura were back at the farm blissfully unaware that their chance with Thomas had basically disappeared.
Although the teasers for next week’s episodes show Thomas breaking the news to the other women, viewers aren’t happy with how Thomas is stringing them along.
“WHY was Thomas allowed to continue on the show when he clearly had connected with Clairette…. hardly fair for the other girls!!” commented one fan on Instagram.
“Make a stand Thomas and please tell the other girls. You’re just playing with everyone. It’s rude, disrespectful and weak!” said another.
“He never gave any of the other girls a chance — she just shoved herself on him and he was like a love sick puppy — not fair on the others,” commented another fan.
According to the gossip hounds at Woman’s Day, Clarette and Thomas are set to leave the show next week before the final episode.
“The producers begged him to stay but he was already gone,” a “well-placed insider” told the publication.
“Whether it was Clarette calling the shots or Farmer Thomas simply being over the whole thing, there was no convincing him to stick around.
“His mind was made up and that was that.”
Interesting, no? I guess we’ll have to wait and see next week if the well-placed insider is right!
