Months after sparking dating rumours with B.J. Novak, TikTok star Delaney Rowe has clarified where she’s at in her dating life during an uncharacteristically candid interview.
ICYMI, the TikTok skit queen was at the centre of much tabloid buzz back in April, when an insider confirmed she was dating The Office star months after they were spotted together by Deuxmoi in New York City.
Now, Rowe has divulged her relationship status in a podcast episode that sees her lacking in too-coy media training but excelling in delivering all the unfiltered deets.
I just found out that BJ Novak is dating Delaney Rowe from tiktok and I have no one to talk about this with 😭 why did god curse me with the ability to process vast amounts of useless pop culture knowledge and not something useful, like how to do math?

While she didn’t mention Novak by name (perhaps to avoid the ire of all those Mindy Kaling shippers), Rowe did confirm on the Boy Problems podcast that she is “dating” but “not fully boo’ed up”.
“It’s a little dramatic right now,” she added of her recent dating life.
“It’s not him. It’s me. I was the problem and I had to sort of reconcile with that recently.”
This level of honesty is a far cry from altogether unanswered details we’ve gotten about budding celebrity romances in the past (ahem, Timmy and Kylie), but I’m relishing every second!
As for the source of her “dramatic” relationship status, Rowe said she’s had her “ups and downs” due to being noncommittal in the early stages of dating (I just got read for filth).
“I was not sure and so I was noncommittal for a long period of time when he was very sure,” Rowe said.
“Now I am sure and he’s like, ‘I don’t really trust your intentions at this point’.”
Bringing us even further into her love life, Rowe confessed that she has now committed and will “rap for my motherfucking life on this one and prove that I’m [trustworthy]”.
Perhaps preempting all the chatter (maybe she is media trained after all), the TikToker clarified that nothing nefarious had led to the early instability in her relationship.
“There was no bad behavior,” she shared.
“It was just me not quite ready and now I am. And so now I have to bare my heart a little bit.”
Rowe concluded her thoughts by saying she is remaining hopeful that this relationship is “gonna go my way”, which is just as well, since The Office’s Ryan Howard was a perpetual fuckboy that even Kelly Kapoor didn’t deserve.
Anyway, I think a bunch of celebs should take from the Rowe playbook and spare us all the vague, cagey hints and internet sleuthing about their love lives.
All of us would-be Sherlock Holmeses need a break.
