MAFS’ Jade Pywell Claims Teenager Stole Her Car & Filmed It

Married At First Sight star Jade Pywell has come forward with claims that her car was stolen by a teenager, who proceeded to allegedly film himself taking a joyride in the vehicle on social media.

Pywell, who appeared on MAFS last year alongside on screen husband Ridge Barredo, said the incident took place last week when a someone allegedly broke into their Gold Coast home and stole the keys to her Chery Omoda.

“I walked out the front and my car was gone,” Pywell told news.com.au.

After referring the matter to Queensland Police, Pywell reportedly posted about the alleged robbery on Instagram, at which point she received a message from a friend who also claimed her car was stolen.

The same friend told Pywell that the alleged thief, who she claimed was a local teenager, had been sharing photos and videos himself driving in stolen cars on social media.

“She sent me the video, and it was my car,” she said.

Pywell claimed she was then texted an address from an anonymous number, and that she and Barredo went to the location where they retrieved the car using her spare key.

While Pywell provided details about the alleged thief to police, including the video shared on social media, she said she was told it was insufficient proof that the teenager was behind the robbery.

“Police are investigating after a vehicle and several items were stolen from Pimpama last week,” Queensland Police said in a statement per news.com.au.

“Unknown offenders gained access to the [Pimpama] address, before stealing items and a 2024 Chery Omoda from the property… Investigations into the vehicle’s theft are ongoing.”

Although she apparently recovered the car, Pywell said other stolen items are still missing.
