The WILD pictures Atlassian boss’s new squeeze Amelia Beaumont never wanted you to see – as her activist past comes back to haunt her

She’s swiftly become one of the most talked-about women in Australia thanks to her relationship with billionaire tech mogul Mike Cannon-Brookes.

Yet, despite the growing public curiosity, very little is known about Amelia Beaumont.

It is well-known that Mr Cannon-Brookes has been quietly dating since his separation from wife Annie, which became public two years ago.

But the identity of his latest love interest has only recently come to light. Reports suggest he and Ms Beaumont have now been together for the past year or so.

With her Facebook account deleted and few personal details available online about the Sydney-based tech worker, public intrigue only continues to grow.

Now, the Daily Mail can share previously unseen images showing a markedly different side of the woman who has captured the heart of Australia’s wealthiest eco-entrepreneur and whose old look was so distinctive, she is almost unrecognisable.

Photographs from a Cancer Council media campaign, taken during Ms Beaumont’s two-year tenure as a digital project officer beginning in 2017, show her wearing a sharply styled inverted bob, reminiscent of the so-called ‘Karen’ cut.

Another campaign, promoting meat-free living, features Ms Beaumont in an avant-garde photoshoot, posing with protest-style slogans draped across her, such as NO MEAT MAY and END FACTORY FARMING, perhaps offering a glimpse into her eco-conscious past and endorsement of plant-based living.

In 2023, she attended the Archie Party, the exclusive annual event at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

There, posing beside a portrait of actress Claudia Karvan, Ms Beaumont appeared in a black mini dress and thoughtful expression, her former blunt bob of her Cancer Council days replaced by a softer look.

Ms Beaumont currently works for Sydney payments technology platform Payable, and her career has included roles with several companies in recent years.

Last week, the couple returned from a romantic getaway to Fiji and were seen sharing a kiss upon disembarking Mr Cannon-Brookes’ grey and aqua Bombardier 7500 private jet.

In less than a year, his jet has flown more than 440,000km across four continents and 43 airports, the equivalent of flying to the moon and part of the way back.

His globetrotting itinerary reads like a billionaire’s bucket list: European capitals, American national parks, luxury Pacific resorts and high-octane Formula One events.

According to flight data, the jet has spent more than 531 hours in the air over 309 separate days since last September, totalling nearly 22 full days of flying time.

Analysts estimate the carbon emissions from his flights would be the equal of powering a town of 2,400 homes for a year.

Ms Beaumont contrasts with Ms Cannon-Brookes, who shares four children with the Atlassian co-founder.

Ms Cannon-Brookes was working as a fashion designer when she first met her future husband in the Qantas lounge at Sydney Airport while travelling home to Michigan.

They married in January 2010 but were involved in a serious car accident just months before their separation.

Both made a full recovery, and the incident was unrelated to their split.

The couple are now going through a high-profile divorce, reportedly negotiating assets worth $25 billion, including an extensive portfolio spanning Sydney and the Southern Highlands.

According to Domain, Mr Cannon-Brookes recently purchased three properties on the slopes of Mount Gibraltar at Mittagong for $12.25million.

He also owns nearby Greyladyes Farm, bought for $13million, and an adjoining property valued at $9.1million.

Earlier this week, Mr Cannon-Brookes made headlines when Atlassian announced 150 customer service and support roles would be cut, with some tasks set to be replaced by AI.

The lay-offs were communicated in a pre-recorded video sent by Mr Cannon-Brookes and bluntly titled ‘Restructuring the CSS Team: A Difficult Decision for Our Future’.

Staff reportedly received no prior warning and waited 15 minutes for email confirmation after the announcement, at which point their laptops were immediately locked.
