Multiple fatalities with up to 52 victims after tour bus overturns in Upstate New York and EJECTS passengers onto road

Multiple people, including one child, have been killed and several injured after a tour bus overturned on the highway in upstate New York this afternoon.
Rescue operations are underway at the ‘mass casualty’ rollover crash along I-90 in Pembroke, near Buffalo.
The bus, believed to be traveling from Niagara Falls to New York City, had at least 52 people on board, WROC reports. Several people are dead, trapped and injured.
Photographs from the scene show the bus turned over on its side and a heavy police presence along the highway.
Multiple emergency medical helicopters have responded to the scene.
Both sides of the interstate were closed, including exits 48A and 49, but police have since reopened the westbound lane of traffic.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has been ‘briefed on the tragic tour bus accident’ and confirmed that rescue operation is underway.
‘My team is coordinating closely with @nyspolice and local officials who are working to rescue and provide assistance to everyone involved,’ she said in a statement.

Traffic is at a standstill on I-90 this afternoon after a tour bus traveling eastbound lost control, went over the median and overturned in a ditch
State troopers said the bus heading eastbound when it lost control, went over the median and ended up in a ditch.
Details remain limited at this time, but first responders are continue to rescue several people who remain trapped and injured.
Fifty-two people were on board the bus, with police saying that almost everyone on board was injured in the horrific collision. Reported injuries include cuts, bruises and abrasions.
Police have not confirmed the exact number of people killed, but said at least one child is among the deceased, ABC News reports.
The NYC bound bus was transporting tourists from China, India and the Philippines, according to BPTM. Translators will be brought to the crash site to assist.
‘Emergency personnel are on scene, and additional ambulances and medical support have been requested,’ said New York State Police Sgt. Jack Keller.
Many victims are being transported to nearby Strong Memorial Hospital and Erie County Medical Center.
The ConnectLife blood and organ donation network has issued an an emergency appeal for blood donations in wake of the accident.
Officials are urging drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate travel routes.
